Would you like to be a hero? Meet new friends? Be surrounded by fun, talented, maybe even famous people? Have we got a deal for you!
Every year in June, we need your help as a volunteer at the Fiddler’s Contest, workshops at the contest site at the high school and Slocum Hall, help with campers at the campgrounds, the Banjo Contest, at Memorial Park with the entertainment stage, vendors, and beer garden, parade lineup and check-in, and more. There is a job for almost everyone and we need you!
You will receive a great looking T-shirt and a behind-the-scenes look at an event that will turn 66 years old this year. You will be helping to perpetuate a prestigious event that is known and revered by traditional American music lovers across the country and even the world.
You are invited to sign up at the National Oldtime Fiddlers’ headquarters at 2235 Paddock Avenue, or you may also call our office at 208 414-0255 and ask about volunteer opportunities.
We will be holding our Volunteer Breakfast later in the year and you can sign up at that time as well. We will have a great meal, our exclusive volunteer T-shirts and some fun drawings for prizes waiting for you and you can get more information about what positions we have available. You can also meet and talk with some of our long-time volunteers who are extremely proud of their T-shirt collection garnered from many years of volunteer service. Our Fiddle Board members will be there to treat you to a good time and good food! So come on, step up and be a hero to a lot of people and have a great time as well! We couldn’t do it without you, and we mean it.
